Since 1950 our foresters have appraised literally millions of acres of southern timberlands, including some of the largest tracts appraised and/or sold in the last 20 years. Several notable examples are:
- Bodcaw Company, 300,000 acres, prior to its sale to International Paper Company in 1979.
- Crown Zellerbach Corporation, 1,056,000 acres in Louisiana and Mississippi for internal management and potential sale.
- Gaylord Container Corporation, 715,000 acres in Georgia, Florida, Virginia and Wisconsin for potential purchase.
- Tremont Lumber Company, 215,000 acres in Louisiana prior to its sale to Crown Zellerbach in 1974.
- U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, 57,766 acres in Louisiana for condemnation and acquisition.
- Chicago Mill & Lumber Company, 234,000 acres in Louisiana and Mississippi for internal management purposes.
- Cities Service Oil Company, 37,500 acres in Louisiana, prior to its sale to Bayou DeSiard Land Company .
Appraisal clients have included local, state and federal government agencies, insurance companies, banks, universities, attorneys, pulp and paper companies, other forest products companies, oil & gas companies, utilities as well as numerous smaller corporations, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
